But that’s not all, the ceremonies, magical dance performances, grand setting and the opportunity to learn the secrets of the waltz will certainly make this one night to remember.

TU Ball:

The end of the first month of 2015 in Austria is marked with the TU Ball, the ball with the oldest traditions of them all the ball's in Vienna.  Laid on by the University of Technology to celebrate music and assist a good cause too, this event certainly is something special to experience. Taking place the last Thursday in January every year, the TU Ball is best known for its youthful flair.

The music at the TU Ball is also magnificent and will be right down your street if you are passionate about New Orleans jazz, Latin American rhythms, big band music and of course classical  waltz too. But what makes this Ball extra unique is a tribute to its culture, with traditional Austrian folk music put on in the Geheime Ratstube and the “Damenspende” a gift specially designed for the ball and presented to each of the attending ladies.

In short the TU Ball is a great get together of musical and choreographic talent which marks the start of another great year in Austria and should certainly not be missed if you are passionate about dance, melody and culture.
